It's Book Week Scotland and there have been lots of events throughout the week. I was at a book signing and reading at Oliver's Restaurant and Function Suite, Drumchapel, on Thursday night. It was an event to raise funds for Almond Court Residents' Fund and I'm pleased to say that a good sum was raised.
I read excerpts from The Janus Complex, Archangel and my new novel, soon to be published, Redemption. It was a great night.
There are still events taking place throughout the country and one I'd like to highlight takes place today (26 November) in Bishopbriggs Library. It starts at 10.30 and there's lots to enjoy. You can learn how to self-publish and hear from some great Indie authors. At 11.30 there will be a panel session with readings and questions with Robin Howie (Another 100 Scotsman Walks), Liam Farrell (The Circle Game), Heather Campbell (Keep it Off - a weight loss book) and Moira Darling (Finding Neverland - an inspirational autobiography)
The afternoon session starts at 1.00 with readings and talk with authors KT Finnegan (The Thirteen Stones, a fantasy novel), Sheila Griffiths (Starling, a young adult novel) and Sinclair Macleod (The Reluctant Detective and Russel and Menzies crime novels).
